How do I claim ownership of a facebook page if I own the business?

Q. I have an official facebook page for my business, but I have found out that someone else has created pages with MY product. How do I take ownership of those facebook pages?

A. 1. Contact them and ask them to transfer the page ownership to you.
2. Report those pages as fake and claim that you are the actual owner.

How can you tell if a celebrity's facebook page is real?
Q. We all have our heroes/idols, and some of them roam on facebook. It's so hard to find those that do, as other people create facebook pages for them and say that the facebook page is "real" when it's not. It gets to be a burden, because when you friend a celebrity, you don't know if it's the real him/her or not. So, how can you tell if a celebrity's book page is real?

A. If they show pictures of them with friends or family members, they must be real.
Example: My sister loves Justin Bieber. She found his real facebook page because it showed private pictures like Justin Bieber with his little sister, in their house.

How do you switch a facebook page from one account to another?
Q. My company has a facebook page and the employee that was in charge of updating it left. She also has the username and password of the page, so now we are unable to get on it. This is a huge potential marketing tool and we can't afford to miss out on it. Is there anyway that we can switch the page from her account to one of ours?

A. You will need the current admin / ex-employee of the page to make your account and admin. Then you will be able to remove them as an admin and you will have control of the Facebook Page.

For the current admin to make you an admin, you will need to like the page and the current admin will have to find you in the list of "Likes" and next to you will be a button that says "Make Admin".

Once they have done this, you will have to go to the page and on the right will be a list of admins (2, you and them) - If you click the "See all" link on the right you will be able to "Remove" the ex-employee from being an admin of that page.

Hope this helps,
Eddie
