Apps on facebook that tell people if you view their profile?

Q. Do those apps on facebook really tell people when you visit their profile? Because I visit some peoples' page frequently and it may seem creepy. These apps don't really seem to make sense if they intend for people to keep using facebook.

A. I really dont think so. Or else I would have a lot of notifications from all those apps i joined.

Hello everybody! How can I block facebook's own wall posts, such as those when you change the language?
Q. Hey guys, where can I change the privacy settings for posts that facebook itself posts on my wall? Changing the language is not done by means of an application, so even though I've tried blocking all apps facebook still posts a notification in my profile.

A. It's not possible..........you can't block these because facebook wants you always keep record of what you are doing thats why these informations are provided in your profile.

If you wish to hide these from others then limit their access to your profile by creating friend list and setting their privacy to your wall post.

But by no means you can hide these from yourself.

How i know it:

Do any of those find out who's viewing your facebook profile apps work?
Q. It showed up my wall today and looked pretty legit. Even had the facebook logo and and an apps.facebook address. I'm skeptical. What's the story on these official looking apps?

A. No. There is no way to know who views a Facebook page. Facebook does not have this option due to privacy concerns. Some people are under the impression that the "top friends" that display on the profile/timeline are the people who have viewed your profile, but this is not true.

If you were wondering why those certain people are showing on your profile and not other people, facebook has already explained this. Those are merely the people you have interacted with the most.

Here's additional info which I quote:

"There are scams aplenty promising to show you who is 'stalking' your Facebook page. I put in a call to Facebook and spoke with their technical folks, the truth is, NO ONE can see who's been on your Facebook page. There are no features buried in the Facebook settings with that data. There are no apps that can unearth that info. Facebook says it is one of the most common scam come-ons on the site. Don't fall for it; you cannot see who's looking at your profile (and no one can see if you've been looking at theirs)."
