What are some creative ways to advertise an online business?

Q. besides the usual, Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter. What are some cool and unique ways to advertise an online business.

Description of Business: a website where you upload all your photos and they then can be shared, in one click, to ALL of your social networking sites.

the question is how do we advertise this?
sorry i did forget to post the link of what we are.
myweboo.com

A. PPC advertising is very powerful and cost efficient compared to other media. PPC can get very expensive if you don't know what you are doing. PPC is extremely targeted, you can target geographic, demographic or you can narrow down and target particular city or town.

Whats the best way to driver traffic to my website?
Q. My website offers online traffic school. What is the best way to drive U.S. traffic to my site. I am all over the PPC sellers already...and i rank high in the search engine results.

Is it better to buy banners? Or should i buy into large directories....or just have a large link exchange program?

and dont say all of the above please!

A. Hi, good question...

There's a whole lot of things you can do actually.

I would try article marketing if you're interested in that. If you decide to go that way, you can download a free guide about how you can use article marketing to bring traffic to your site here:

The other thing I use is http://hurleypix.com/3wl This costs a monthly fee - but it works very effectively at giving you very nice rankings in Google. Look over the site if you want to learn more. :)

Another option is by using web 2.0 sites such as Digg, Twitter, FaceBook, Craigs List, Stumbleupon, etc. You have to get 'in there' and communicate and learn about these sites, build your profile up, etc, but they are pretty good too at motivating people to come look at your websites.

There's other ways as well including press releases and contributing in forums often.

Hope that helps. :)

Are viral marketing techniques more effective then web advertising?
Q. I am thinking of doing both for my website, but a banner ad which costs $1000 per month at least, gets a click through rate of 0.20% or 20 clicks per 10,000 views. That is very weak.

Would it not be better to advertise through social networks such as Facebook and Twitter, and through emailing lists?

A. Social marketing calls for the long soft sale, typically you have to take time to make friends first, Facebook ads are cheaper when targeting a Fan Page, but 0.15% conversion rates are typical for conventional PPC ads.

There are tons of paid advertising options, in some cases text ads do better than graphics (banner blindness) some banners with painted in text messages do better than slick graphics, split testing is essential for profitable advertising. Different ad networks have different targeting methods, traffic quality and prices, try a few.
An alternative that was hot a few years ago is CPV "contextual" advertising, basically user installed adware pops up your ad window (or live site) when they visit a site you have targeted.
