Q. How would marketing the new company through Facebook vs. other more traditional marketing strategies benefit the company tax-wise. I am particularly concerned with avoiding nexus and sales and use tax. Does anyone know the teax implications of facebook advertising, etc.? Thank you in advance!

A. It won't have any material affect on taxes, aside from the fact that Facebook marketing is basically free which could increase profits and therefore the business' tax liability.

How you advertise generally isn't going to affect nexus for sales tax purposes. Even in states that are testing the waters with the "affiliate nexus" concept (which I think will eventually fail) you are not the one paying the taxes, your customers are.

A. By creating a facebook Fan Pages, websites and small business advertise in facebook.. They also use facebook ads to promote their pages and there by their business. Its a great way to advertise because in social networking sites you are directly targeting your potential customers or users.
