How do I create a facebook application?

Q. I have a good idea for a facebook application. How do I create this application and submit it?

A. Put in the search box of Facebook: "Facebook Developers" Select the application named liked like that and you will enter a community of the developers that submit applications. It has great guides of how to do it, plus a lot of tutorials, explaining the anatomy of the application, how it works in facebook, what programming languages do you have to use to make it, the tools you will need to start, etc.

How can i delete an old Facebook account and create a new one using the same E-mail?

Q. I want to delete my old Facebook account and start over with a new one but when I try to delete the old page and sign up for a new one it says 'there is already an account associated with this e-mail'.

A. You can't use the same e-mail.

Edit: The people that are saying deactivate your account are also right, that will hide your facebook account so nobody can view it. But you still won't be able to use the same e-mail. It doesn't really "delete" your account it basically just hides it from everyone until you login next.

If you want to start completely fresh you need a new e-mail.

Is having a Facebook account the only way to join eHow?

Q. I was trying to join eHow, and the only sign up option is through a Facebook account. Can it be possible to use a customized login username/password instead of linking the eHow account to Facebook?

A. It seems like that's the only way to join currently. I agree with you. No way I want a facebook account because of safety problems. I've had a eHow account for several years until now. I guess I'm out of luck for using their web site. Oh well, I guess there's other competition out there that's better than eHow.com .

A. Deactivating your Facebook account will make it completely unavailable until you re-enable it.

A. to stop receiving email notifications from face book you need to log in your facebook account and click on account > account settings > notifications > then UNcheck all of the boxes and press "save changes" Hope that helps good luck!

Look into 'HipHop'
It's a code translator that the Facebook team made that converts the PHP code to C++, allowing them to compile it. Since compiled code runs much faster than interpreted code (except ASP/ASP.NET, which just sucks in general) it allows them to accomplish much faster loading times.
As well, it's not only the code that allows them to do such. You have to consider that they're running constant queries to their databases, thus their queries have to be top-notch. Writing a query well will significantly reduce the amount of time it takes to pull from the database. This includes indexes, proper queries, using prepared statements when need be, and database optimization.

Having a whole databank of servers does NOT make your website run faster. In fact, it adds overhead to the whole process, thus potentially increasing loading times. So there's both answers proven wrong.
What HipHop did for them was significantly reduced the server load and time required to process the code, thus allowing them to process more on one server, and compile their code. The only con of that was losing some commands such as eval().
I personally compile my PHP source and use it as such. You also have to ensure that when you write it, it's properly structured and that the best practices are used. This will also significantly reduce processing time and load.

A. Essentially what is happening is that your device wants to be using BlackBerry data in order to use those apps and services.

Many BlackBerry apps (mostly social ones Facebook IM etc.) will not run unless you have a BlackBerry data plan associated with your device. Even then, many will not run over the wifi connection.

A. Some sites give free or virtually free credits if you do offers given by advertisers.

Basically the advertisers will pay you to do whatever. In the case of one website I've used a few times, I did an offer like one of the high value free trial credit report offers. I just cancel the trial after a day and ask for my freeee credits. Heck, saves me 15 bucks.

How do I take my email and password off the Facebook homepage?

Q. I just found out that my brother has been checking my Facebook stuff because on the facebook homepage my email and password is already typed in, how can I take it off so I would have to type in my password and email?

A. I can't see ANY website putting a password on the home page. Are you sure you didn't save it in your browser's password list or accept an option from FB to auto-log you in?

Here's how to get Firefox or Internet Explorer to forget the password:

In Firefox:

1.Click the Tools->Options menu item.
2.Click the Security tab.
3.Under Passwords, click the Saved Passwords button.
4.Find the site you saved the password for and select it.
5.Click the Remove button. Note that there's no second-chance dialog box for this. Click the button and the password is gone.

Internet Explorer 6 seems to be an all-or-nothing thing. Try this:

1.Click the Tools->Internet Options menu item.
2.Click the Content tab.
3.Click the Autocomplete button.
4.Click the Clear Passwords button. Note that this clears ALL passwords.
5.Click OK to the second-chance dialog box.

Internet Explorer 7:

1.Click the Tools->Internet Options menu item.
2.Click the General tab.
3.Under Browsing History, click the Delete button.
4.Under Passwords, click the Delete Passwords button.
5.Click OK on the second-chance dialog box.

Why did my Facebook homepage delete two days of posts?

Q. My Facebook homepage deleted about two days of posts on its own. It had them all yesterday, and today it goes from Tuesday at 2 to Wednesday at 5 to Thursday at 11:30 to 7 hours ago today, skipping everything in between. I know everyone didn't delete *every*thing. I even re-logged in and it was the same. What gives?
No, there are some posts from in between, just not everything. A few things are still there, but a LOT is gone. What would make it disappear?

A. it probably didnt delete it its probably just on a second page. If you go all the way down it should say older posts if not then im not sure sorry
